THE AI SALES STACK
Prospecting → Outreach → Follow-up → Proposal → Close — AI helps at every stage.
STAGE 1: PROSPECTING WITH AI
Find ideal customers faster:
"I sell [PRODUCT/SERVICE] to [TARGET CUSTOMER]. Describe the ideal prospect profile in detail — industry, company size, job title, likely pain points, and what would make them urgently need what I offer."
"Generate a list of 20 search queries I can use on LinkedIn to find [TARGET CUSTOMER TYPE]. Include different combinations of job title, industry, and company size."
Research any prospect in 60 seconds: "Here's a LinkedIn profile/website for a prospect: [PASTE]. Give me: 1) A summary of who they are and what they care about, 2) Likely challenges they're facing that my [PRODUCT/SERVICE] solves, 3) A personalised opening line for a cold email."
STAGE 2: COLD OUTREACH THAT GETS REPLIES
The 4-sentence cold email formula: Line 1: A specific observation about them (not a generic compliment) Line 2: The problem this observation suggests they have Line 3: How you solve it — one sentence, no jargon Line 4: A low-pressure CTA (a question, not "book a call")
Prompt to generate it: "Write a cold email using this formula for a prospect who [OBSERVATION ABOUT THEM]. My product/service: [WHAT YOU DO]. The problem I solve: [PROBLEM]. CTA: ask if it's a priority for them right now. Keep it under 80 words."
LinkedIn connection message (under 300 characters): "Write a LinkedIn connection request to [ROLE] at [COMPANY]. Mention [SPECIFIC THING ABOUT THEIR WORK]. Don't pitch. Just open a conversation."
STAGE 3: FOLLOW-UP SEQUENCES
Most sales happen after 5+ touches. Automate the follow-up:
Follow-up 1 (3 days later): "I wrote this email [PASTE]. Write a short 3-sentence follow-up that adds a new piece of value — a relevant stat, insight, or question. Don't just say 'checking in'."
Follow-up 2 (1 week later): "Write a follow-up that shares a brief case study or result relevant to [PROSPECT'S SITUATION]. Keep it under 75 words."
Follow-up 3 (breakup email): "Write a polite 'closing the loop' email that makes one final case and leaves the door open for the future. Friendly, not passive aggressive."
STAGE 4: PROPOSALS THAT WIN
"Write a project proposal for [PROJECT TYPE] for a [CLIENT TYPE]. Include: executive summary (1 paragraph), the problem we're solving, our approach, deliverables, timeline, investment, and why we're the right choice. Our differentiator: [YOUR USP]."
Objection handling: "My prospect said: '[OBJECTION]'. Write 3 different ways I could respond to this objection — one empathetic, one data-driven, one reframing the issue entirely."
STAGE 5: CLOSING
"I'm following up after sending a proposal. The client hasn't responded in 5 days. Write a short email that: asks if they have questions, addresses the most likely concern ([CONCERN]), and makes it easy to say yes with a specific next step."
CRM NOTE WRITING (SAVE 20 MIN/DAY)
After every call, say your notes out loud into your phone voice memo, then paste the transcript to ChatGPT: "Turn these rough sales call notes into a structured CRM entry: contact info, summary of conversation, pain points identified, objections raised, agreed next steps, and follow-up date. Notes: [PASTE]"
